Hi. If you want to use analog signal from your amplifier, the first choice is always tape out. This output is not influenced by the volume control, and is the cleanest of the signals on so-called line level that you can get from your amplifier. Pre out is possible, but will be controlled by the amplifier's volume control, and the signal goes through much more internal circuitry than the tape out, which essentially just loops the input signal on to an output. Headphone out is of the lowest quality of the three, but is usually louder in max position. We do not have specs for analog input on Adapt, but it is quite standard, and should be fine with both pre out and tape out. If you need more info, please contact Harman Helpdesk.
